ABOUT ADFK

Launched in 2018, ARTSinTANK Dance Festival in Korea (ADFK) grew into a major international dance festival rooted in cultural exchange and artistic collaboration. By 2025, the festival had expanded to both Seoul and Seongnam cities, with participation from 11 countries, presenting a diverse program of performances, dance films, international residencies, and workshops.

Recognized by the Korea Arts Council as a flagship event of the ARKO SUM Festival, ADFK played a vital role in enhancing the global visibility of Korean dance. Its signature international collaboration project, <Suwollae>, brought together Korean and international artists to co-create and perform, deepening cultural understanding and artistic empathy. In 2025, a major co-production between Korea National University of Arts and Edison Cowan University’s LINK Dance Company (Australia) was premiered at the Arko Arts Theater Grand Hall as part of the 8th ARTSinTANK / ARKO SUM Festival Showcase, marking a milestone in global artistic collaboration.

ADFK is continuing to promote bilateral cultural exchange—connecting Korean choreographers to international audiences and bringing acclaimed global artists to Korean stages. The festival is maintaining strong partnerships with globally recognized festivals such as Festival À Corps (France), Movement Slavic Festival, L.A. Dance Festival (USA), Arts Transfabrique Festival (France), Dance Camera West (USA), Dance City Festival (USA), and Seattle International Dance Festival (USA).

Through these partnerships, ADFK is evolving as a two-way international platform—one that is showcasing Korea’s artistic excellence abroad while continuing to bring diverse global voices to Korea.
