The Body Speaks

The workshop is a mind-body-spirit corporal experience exploring creation through movement in improvisation. Seek the exploration of the body as the main voice in a dialogue with yourself, to free the mind to generate fluidity in the search, learn to listen to the body in the dialogue and acquire new ways of creating and observing dance. Letting the body speak, searching for the theme from the body to find alternative solutions. The construction and destruction of movement using the memory of sensory experience works as a guide in your reconstruction of movement. The development of an idea in motion using specific tools to develop the found language. The process focuses on a physical, mental, emotional exploration and search to find alternative solutions for the creation processes.

The objetive of the workshop is to seek the exploration of the body as the main voice in a dialogue with yourself, to free the mind to generate fluidity in the search, learn to listen to the body in the dialogue and acquire new ways of creating and observing dance.

Sunny Savoy is a choreographer, teacher and dancer of contemporary dance. For Savoy, the creative process is a way of living, a way of existing. Her works are characterized by a reflection on the current world. Her work reveals a constant process of search in her spiritual growth and corporal growth to analyze the experience of human beings, our relationships and the results of our actions in this world. Prevalece her concern to explore the body, find alternative solutions in expression and movement in collaboration with artists of other media. Each of her projects are unique trips to the unknown and the known. She is the director of the Sunny Savoy Dance Company and the Dance Company of the Facultad de Artes Escénicas de la Uanl. Her work has been presented in North America, South America and Europe. She has been awarded many grants and prizes such as Premio de las Artes, Uanl 2019, Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte 2016-2019, 2021-2024 and most recently, the Premio Nacional de Danza José Limón.

무용 예술가 마이클 와이츠는 지난 35년 동안 무용수, 안무자, 교육자였다. 1995년 독일의 탄츠테아터 부퍼탈 피나 바우쉬에 입단해 세계 여러 곳에서 공연했으며, 세계 여러 무용단과 교육기관에 초청받아 활동했다. 현재 호주 WAAPA 이디스 카원 대학교 교수로 재직 중이며 LINK 무용단 예술감독을 맡고 있다.

현대 무용 수업

안무 구성과 열 맞춤, 이동 방식이 복잡한 현대 무용을 경험할 기회를 제공한다.
신체의 뼈와 근육을 풀어주고 안무 구성과 열 맞춤, 이동 방식에 중점을 둔 무용 연습을 한다.

Afro- Contemporary Technique: Rooted Rhythm

무용가, 안무가, 예술 활동가이자 교육자인 버나드 브라운은 흑인의 정체성, 소속감, 기억의 교차로를 작업대로 삼는다. Bernard Brown/bbmoves의 감독으로 파나마, 이스라엘, 브라질, 그리고 미 전역에서 작품 활동과 워크숍을 진행하고 있다. 로욜라 메리마운트 대학교 무용과 조교수이자 캐서린 던햄 테크닉 인증 강사로도 활동 중이다.

흑인 현대 무용 테크닉: 근원적 리듬

흑인 현대 무용 테크닉 수업은 참가자들이 몸과 마음, 정신을 몰입해서 움직임을 익히고, 테크닉을 넘어 자신만의 무대 위 움직임을 탐구하도록 돕는다. 호흡과 열 맞춤, 리듬, 신체 표현에 초점을 맞추면서 포스트모던 미학, 아프리카 움직임 기술, 캐서린 던햄 테크닉 등도 배울 것이다.

빠르게 진행되지만 매우 유익한 흑인 현대 무용 테크닉 수업에서는 포스트모던 미학, 아프리카 움직임 기술, 캐서린 던햄 테크닉 등을 배울 수 있다.

6개의 관점 - 파트너와 협력하는 방법

안무를 위한 여섯 가지 관점(공간, 형태, 시간, 감정, 움직임, 스토리)을 탐구한다. 누구나 배울 수 있는 단순하면서도 효과적인 공연 창작 테크닉으로 다양한 형태의 공연 창작 시도를 실제 관객을 위한 작품으로 발전시키는 요소가 무엇인지 이해하게 해준다. 창작을 위한 6개의 관점 혹은 시작점을 매개로 창의적인 선택을 넓힘으로써 잠재해 있던 각자의 창의성을 표출시킨다.

사이러스 캄바타는 미국 뉴욕대학교 티쉬 예술대학에 재학 중에 캄바타 무용단을 설립했다. 이후, 러시아, 리투아니아, 싱가포르, 인도, 멕시코, 캐나다, 프랑스, 독일 등 세계 많은 곳에서 작품을 발표했다. 리리 우드버리 댄스, 피소로요(베네수엘라), 스펙트럼 댄스 시어터, 에버그린 시티 발레, 보스턴 댄스 시어터 등 많은 곳의 후원을 받았으며, 캘리포니아 대먼 뉴 안무상, 예술 리더십 프로그램 상 등을 수상했다. 올해로 18회째를 맞는 미국 시애틀 국제 댄스 페스티벌 창립자이자 예술감독이다.

Opening show ‘화합의 몸짓’

서울국제댄스페스티벌 인 탱크의 오프닝 공연을 준비하는 워크샵으로, 한국의 전통춤과 현대춤이 어우러진 화합의 무대를 만든다.

전통과 현대 그리고 다양한 문화가 어우러지는 서울국제댄스페스티벌 인 탱크 오프닝 쇼를 위한 워크샵이다.

‘덧’ 난것을 베어버리고 공동체의 협력과 화합을 의미하는 덧배기 춤을 모티브로 하여 그 기본동작을 배우고 이를 현대적으로 풀어내 각국의 무용수가 함께 작품을 만들어 나간다.

덧배기춤의 강렬한 에너지와 글로벌 무용수들의 창의적인 표현이 어우러진 진 화합의 장을 선사한다.
